I have been busy, busy , busy!
But I will soon have a new blog coming up thats more in topic.
Until than, here are a few facts about Norway or things relating to Norway.
One of the most popular cheeses in Norway is brown, and no, you probably will not like it.
There is a place in Norway called Hell.
Moose are aggressive during the autumn because they are looking for a mate.I am not sure if you would ever need to know that, but if you ever are in Norway during the autumn and happen to run into a moose, watch out.
Dinner is usually eaten around 4 o'clock.
Norway has the worlds largest population of black metal artists and many are homosexual.

charming mini post
Here's a picture of the bracelet.
Disregard the other jewlery. (The ring is from F21, and the silly band was from my best friend, Lynn.)
The bracelet has a whole bunch of charms that symbolize vacation and travelling.
the picture has to be small so you can see the whole thing, but it has a passport, a suitcase that say 'i heart travel', tanning lotion, a beachball, a hotel key, a umbrella drink, flipflop, an airplane, an umbrella, and sunglasses.
I really want to buy it because this summer was the first time i have traveled alone for vacation, and also flown by myself.
The plane is definitly my favorite! It's so cute! The bracelet was orginally 159 kroner, but was on sale for half price, 79kr, which makes it a little over 13 dollars. It was very much worth it though.
I also bought a pink tutu like dress but I don't have a picture of that yet.
Last thing, somehow, a spring got into the lens of my camera and was moving all around inside leaving this:
What the hell!
Luckily, later that night, my parents helped me get it out. We just hope it is not from the camera, though it seems to be working fine without it. Now that the problem is fixed, I will be taking more pictures with my camera and less with my iphone.
Did you notice the new background? I think I like this one better, the green works nicely.

i am a bad blogger
First off you're probably thinking, (or maybe not) 'Anais, you are the worst blogger! Where have you been?!'
Well, I am have been in Norway for the last week, suffering for jet lag. ): There is a 7 hour time difference from LA! And to make it worse, the sun doesn't go down! Nope, just stays up all day and night! I am so used to Louisiana's early nights, I began to forget which day is which! Because of the time difference, I have to wait till 1 to talk to my dad through Skype, so the days begin to squish together. I will be thinking, 'did I talk to my family last night, or this morning?'
This may sound strange, but when it is dark, I think of it as a seperation of days, so usually when i want to recall something, I count by the nights that went by, but in Norway, midnight is still very bright!
Luckily, I have finally gotten over my jet lag, and I know exactly how many days i have been in Norway! I can sleep at night without xtra curtains as well!
I wish I could explain how beautiful Norway is, but I don't think I could do it justice, so I have a few pictures.
*
How beautiful!
This is from the window of my room. I love waking up to mountains every morning!
I took this picture before landing in Norway.
There is a sterotype that norway is full of blonde norwegians, and I don't care what my dad and Reidar (my step-grandfather) say, it is true! I have never seen so many blonde people in my life! I guess living in the states, there is no 'one look', because it is made of different people- caucasian, african-american, asian, german, middle eastern, etc- but when I went to Norway it's like ' blonde blonde blond african blonde blonde blonde OMG white with red hair!, blonde middle eastern, middle eastern, african, blonde, asian.'
Okay, so maybe I am exagerating, but not by much. Many people in Norway have dark hair, but there are much more with blonde.
There is also another sterotype that Nowegians are nature lovers. That's true too. And I don't think they can deny it either. I mean, look at the pictures! Do you see all that green? I never saw so much green in my life, never in New Orleans!
If I make a lot of mistakes while typing, that's because the spell check is not in english, but in Norwegian. So every word i am typing has a little read squiggly line underneath. And the keyboard is different.
What are all these extra letters? What is Alt Gr?! AND HOW ON EARTH DO I MAKE A SMILIE FACE?!

On Friday, my grandmother, my aunt, and I went to Oslo, the captial of Norway. On friday we went to a concert that had like Norway's top 20. I didn't know like any bands except Madcon, which is one of my favorite bands! I was so happy!
We were so close, even though the picture would say other wise. I love this picture, it is very cool.
Saturday, it was raining on and off so we went to some famous museums in Oslo. We went to The Kon-tiki mueseum, the viking ship museum, and the south pole expidition. And Sunday we went to vigensparken and the ski jump. Most of the pictures can be seen on facebook but here is one from the park.
The park was very beautiful. it celebrated life and death, aging, love and birth.
Well, this is the end of the blog. I promise to be a better blogger!

8 days/ Fashion
Yestarday was a short day, i woke up at 7 to fill out a passport renewal application (which i should get my passport on Monday.) I went to the dentist and a friend slept over. So nothing interesting enough to blog about. Today was much more productive, but I am making up with fashion feature in the this entry.
On my iphone, I have an iphone app called Shanghai tiles. At the end of each game, it give you a fortune. This was my last one.
How crazy is that!? My reaction was priceless!
~~
This is my suitcase:
How cute! It is by DDC, Double Dutch Club. I got it from TJ Maxx, it is a 24in hardshell suitcase. Not only is the pattern cute, it holds a lot!
That has over a month worth of clothes and accessories in there! And it still has space!
It's summer! That calls for sunglasses ad cute bath suits!
And the 1950's are coming back! Cat eyed sun glasses are going to hit big. Prada has a new line of sun glasses called Postcard sunglasses.
I love these, but anything with the name 'prada' in front of it means it to too expensive for me. Hopefully, we will be seeing replicas around soon.
As i was saying, cat eyed glasses are every where! You can even find some cute pairs at walmart! I can't wait to get my hands on a pair of these, I look like i was born for the 50's.
Speaking of which, full skirts are in style as well. I love full skirts, they work so nicely on women, and give them a really nice shape.
Here are a few things that are IN:
-Kitten heels
-military motifs
-suede pumps
-1950s inspired atire
-thick heels
-bootie heels
-boots
-summer colors (blues, pinks, yellow, purples)
-fur trimmings
And out:
-Sporty sunglasses
-eighties influences (yeah, it is sad :( )
-tapestry scarves
-patent-leather platforms
And as for makeup and nails,
Go for full, natural brows. Shaped, but not over tweezed. Lipsticks are a bright, like pinks, fuchsias, reds, and corals. And I love bright colors for summer nails but bright is not your look, greige colors like smoky browns.

The countdown has begun! 10 days
With school finished, time have been traveling so quickly lately. Most of it is a blur since I had surgery in my jaw and was sleeping 70% of the time with swollen face. Luckily, my face is looking fine now, and I am healing very well.
Yesterday morning, we officially purchased the tickets! Yay! I will be leaving June 13th and will not be returning until August 1st.
The point of this blog is to keep my family and friends in Louisiana updated. I will post pictures often and will also use this blog as a 'fashion daily' so you can also see what i am wearing regularly. I will be posting a blog every day until I leave, and post as much as possible while in Norway. You can keep in touch here, and i will be Skyping often as well.My Skype account is AnaisOdd
I have all my clothes packed and ready to go in my cute suitcase. And for the most part, everything I need in my carry on, (other than makeup and glasses because I use those on a daily basis.)
My next blog will have a video with everything I am bringing and more.
Until than!
